RTX 2080ti gets hot

Ambandion

Hey all

I'm slightly confused about why my RTX 2080 ti strix OC version is getting so hot. I only run it out of the box, with maxing out the max temp and max power limit. When i run the heaven benchmark it goes all the way up to 80-81 C. The case i'm using is a Fractal Design meshify C with 2 corsair ML140 white pro fans as intake, 2 Corsair ML120 white pro fans on the top as exhaust fans on my h100i pro cooler, and another corsair ML120 white pro fan on the rear as exhaust.

Looks alright for heaven benchmark. Try playing games and see if temps are lower.

Change your fan curve. Most GPU's nowadays have fan profiles that do not start spinning until around 60c.

Everything is normal .  Are you using a fan curve ?  How fast are the video card fans spinning at  ?  Make sure their ramped up to 100 percent when gaming ya know.

Then invest in water cooling.

Also, turn down the max temp & power, it will throttle itself so that you don't get so hot. Why would you max them if you don't want to max the fans as well?
