Fresh Start

Hi!

Recently, I have noticed that my laptop has been extremely laggy and freezes sometimes, allowing me to move my mouse but not click on anything. I suspect that my computer has been infected by some form of malware and decided to do a fresh start. However, it is taking etremely long. Any idea what I should do?

Wich laptop do you use? Does it have a SSD? Wich Win version?

But sure fresh install always helps. Did you backup important stuf?

Windows update? Wait a bit longer and If nothing happens force shut it down and then try again

I also have a 1TB hard drive

So yeah I put all my data here so that when this kind of things happen I don't have to back up my ssd

Ok just give it some time and if after like 1h nothing happens force it to shut down (hold power button) and then try again. If that aint helping reinstall Windows

Seems to me like the ssd is dying freezing mouse windows reset locking up

yeh, maybe. But could be a different hardware error or software related. Therefore first a reinstall

It could be the ssd could u maybe try installing windows onto the hdd and see if it runs fine on that one ?

I keep trying to reinstall WIndows but they keep telling me that an error happened and no changes were ade

ok, did you update BIOS and completely format the SSD?
