Strange wireless kb issues

Go to solution Solved by noobbuilder,

I took the whole thing apart just now and cleaned every part and so far it's working great!!! There was a lot of particles in there and somehow i ended up with an extra screw and some of the keys are squeaky now but at least it's back to working.

I write the above to testify that I don't think the wireless is the issue

To think i have been going for 2 months with it not working right thinking it was a wireless interference issue because the keys felt fine.

Thanks for the tips

I have had a Logitech k800 wireless for a couple of years now ,but about a month or two ago it started acting weird.

Like on win logon when it asks for a pin the first time i hit a number key it immediately says invalid pin and the mouse won't click the box under saying (try again or cancel i can't remember) and i have to hit tab then space then it will let me enter my full pin.

Or

When i click on reply on a message board it acts like enter key is stuck and adds my message way down after a long empty area. It just did it now when i pressed the left arrow key .

I have already tired with and without logitech software and uninstalling>reinstalling via device manager to no avail. i have even move the usb unifying receiver to different ports on pc and away from pc.

Anyone know a fix for this type of issues?

Edit: i have never spilled anything on the keyboard and the keys don't physically stick.

I have a cheap mechanical wired keyboard and it sometimes says that the ESC key is pressed. Not very often, but sometimes.

It is unfortunate that for you the RETURN key is the issue.

I had another cheap mechanical keyboard that had some keys shorted with each other. It was replaced by manufacturer and works fine now.

I write the above to testify that I don't think the wireless is the issue, and that "shorted" keys are an issue that is uncommon but it is very possible it is happening to you. It happened to me on two keyboards. I don't think there is a fix without soldering and spending valuable time on this. Surely it's better to buy another one.

I had the same issue with it, it started doing that after 3 moths of using it. I returned it,replacement worked fine, no problems. So, I think you will have to get another board, but have you tried another keyboard?
