New ssd not being recognised

Go to solution Solved by Metallus97,

BIOS up to date?

I have bought a samsung evo 970 m.2 NVMe ssd to use as a boot and general storage device.

The problem is that my pc doedsn't recognise it.

I have checked in the bios ( have a gigabyte ab 350 m gaming 3) and it doesn't show up there (their also isn't a option to enable m.2 connection in the gigabyte bios too my knowledge)

I have tried removing my hdd's and only running the ssd with a windows installation usb.

But when I try to install windows on it it isn't recognised. So I tried to reinstall the drivers for the ssd but when excecuting those it says that I need to install a ssd.

I have also tried removing it and putting it in again a few times and even moved the gpu but that doesn't work either.

SPECS:

GA-AB350M-Gaming 3

Samsung V-nand ssd 970 EVO NVMe M.2
Ryzen 3700x

RTX 2070

2 x 8gb ram sticks

2 tb hdd
