sennheiser HD 4.30

Hello. New here.

My brother gave me his Sennheiser HD 4.30. I found that there are different versions G and I. I for apple and G for android devices. He has iPhone so he got 4.30i then. I own android phone so I can't use it? I also found that there are cable differences and nothing more. So if I order 4.30G cable https://en-us.sennheiser.com/accessories--hd-4-30g--cord-assy-black-- will I be able to use 4.30?

It's probably BS. You should be able to use the iPhone cable just fine. If you're already ordering a cable, you might as well get the Android one, but I can almost guarantee that they're identical cables.
