But to come to the topic: Surely you can build a badass Mac that way. But for me one of the points why I type this on MacOS is the integration and services. With a hackintosh you will never be able to do iMessage or similar.

 

BUT for a production/work machine it makes sense and is pretty badass, and for sure possible at similar pricing. 

And still I think apples prices are ok (NOT great and NOT for the MacPro)

Here they do to... in my university its 6 yrs but same deal. I snagged so much nice hardware already

Do you mind if you tell me where are you studying? And other universities in Boston/Washington/newyork are doing this too?

My goal is to get an address from a university/school/etc. From New York /Boston /Washington because when I will go there (I am a tourist) I don't want to go : Sooooo , some one told me that universities/schools/etc are selling computers , soooo do you sell computers? And the did from security be like , nah , I don't know what you are talking about!

We do sometimes, but its only for interns.
