This is probably the most relevant place i could think to ask this.

Where my desk is i have 2 outlets (uk btw)

I need 8 sockets total for things i need plugged in 24/7.

Pc

3 monitors

Phillips hue bridge

Router

Phone

Ps4

Ideally id like to be able to plug in other things.

Here the deal, i have found a 8 socket surge protected power strip rated for 13A.

Would it be safe to get a second 6 socket one to use on the second outlet? (On my wall)

An alternative to this that ive been told to try is get a 12 socket powerstrip (not surge protected) and plug it into a single socket surge protector? Is that viable or useless?

Any advice is helpful. Since im pretty sure im on the verge of being disowned because of this.

Yes it would generally be safe, unless you have some high power appliances on the same circuit you'll be fine. If I read correctly, most UK outlets are usually rated for between 5 to 15 amps but even if the entire bedroom is on a single circuit you'd have to pull something in the neighborhood of 3300 watts (assuming single phase AC, 15A limit, and 220v) before you risk tripping anything. I would say what you have listed would maybe pull about 800-1000 watts worst case, maybe a bit more. If you have a portable AC unit or something plugged into the same circuit as the rest of everything then you might trip something when it kicks in an pulls a ton of power all at once for that first cycle.

If you plan to put heavy power draw devices a second surge protected power bar is ideal but for all the components you have they are generally all lower power and won't have any issue even if you get a surge protected strip with more sockets.
