It's been years for me to do a build and I'm wondering if people think these POST LEDs work pretty well? I'm looking at doing a fairly budget Ryzen build (B450 or X470). Would any mobo manufacturer do better or worse with these?

Did a search and so far, out of 400 hits I've only found a post stating they don't help much when inside a case. Pretty important in my book. Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

Mac

My mobo has them, but i never used them cus nothing has broken. Yet.

So i dont know what to say.
In the past i was reliant on the beeps of the built in speaker. Might be good to have leds since so many dont have that PC-speaker even connected.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

I wouldn't buy a motherboard without debug LEDs or post codes, personally. I don't miss listening for my motherboard to beep at me.

Yeah I don't miss the beep. Been so long since I built anything I didn't know about leds. But I've seen where people get a board where they don't work and I'm thinking 'Really?' can't even produce a mobo w/working leds. I guess QC has gone out the window of late.
