Hello, I'm building my own PC and this is my current build that I am going to make:https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Penguinonne/saved/WfRCLk

I am wondering what case I should get (I want the color scheme to be black) I thought that the Corsair Crystal Series 680x looked cool but I am wondering what you guys think.

Edit: Also do you guys think that my wattage is enough for my PC?

Thanks!

I think that's an OK case. It will choke airflow, though - it performs pretty poorly for being marketed as a high airflow case.

A better case for airflow performance, while also having pretty great aesthetics, would be a Lian Li O11 Dynamic in black. Your taste may vary.

Power supply should be plenty, you may never hear the fan on it because it may never spin up. It may never be taxed enough to get hot enough to need the fan. Greater than 850W is what I usually see in an SLI build, which...SLI is pretty dead now anyway. My most recent build has the same PS, and hasn't spun up once while having a similar wattage to your proposed build.

My two cents like Jay:

I would opt for an M.2 NVMe SSD over a SATA SSD, I'm somewhat surprised to see that as a boot drive in a modern build. Fewer cables to deal with, and faster. The previously mentioned Intel M.2 SSD is excellent for the price, but will be outperformed by a Samsung 970 Evo/Pro due to the way they are constructed. However, the price versus the performance lost makes the Intel a far superior buy, most people don't need/notice the speed difference. Or want to spend $170 for the Evo, $230 for the Evo Plus, or $335 for the Pro.

It doesn't look much like you care about cost though. And you'd want the extra speed if you were planning on using this as a productivity machine - more on that in a second.

Why the 32GB of RAM? And why on two sticks? I might be a little biased, but I far prefer the look of all four RAM slots filled of I'm going to go for an aesthetic monster like this. And 32GB is probably overkill if you're strictly gaming, which is what this build looks like to me...otherwise, for productivity/blended usage, AMD's Zen 2 is a better balance. I don't know your intended usage, though.

I've taken your suggestions to most of suggestions above. I am doing online school this year and I want my computer to be able to handle a lot of tasks at once (although it is intended for gaming). I intended for 2 sticks of 16 so that I could upgrade to 64 later but that seems foolish so I will probably just do 4x8. Do you have 32 gb ram suggestions?

Okay so I updated it but I was wondering if you could check out the compatibility notes and solutions for them. It says " The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled." and " Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders."

I assume you do not want RGB.

The Dominator Platinums are a waste of money in my opinion. Heat spreaders on RAM are mostly for looks unless you're overclocking the hell out of your RAM, which...that in itself isn't really worth the effort. You're paying for a marketing ploy with the Platinums.

Or

Buy two of whichever kit you like. Install one kit in slots 1 and 3, and the other kit in slots 2 and 4 (put each kit in staggered RAM slots).

The first warning means that you lose a SATA port when you use the M.2 drive. This is normal. You have several SATA ports, and only need one for your hard drive. The manual will tell you which port not to use if you have an M.2.

The second warning is because they haven't validated all of the parts will fit together. The O11 is huge. You shouldn't have problems with it, it's very easy to work in, and supports 360mm radiatorS (more than one at a time) and longer graphics cards than they make.

You will probably want to invest in additional fans and 3-way splitters for the top (exhaust) and bottom (intake) of that case if you are putting the radiator vertically - if you do that, I'd set the fans as intake fans on the radiator. Or, you could put the radiator on top as exhaust, and use three fans on the bottom for intake.

TO OP:

You're really spending too much on a lot of things. The R7 3700X will get you nearly the same performance. You will never need 650W in a normal rig.
