Hi, so last week, while watching a stream, my pc randomly started screeching and the display went off leaving a blue screen (Not BSOD) while the audio was still playing. So I tried to restart and I was not being able to load into windows. My pc would either restart or turn off after the bios screen. Also, note that the bios screen seemed to have artifacts. So I unplugged my GPU and connected straight from my iGPU (Intel HD 4600). And everything worked fine. So I think it's pretty clear that something's wrong with my Graphics card. I was wondering if there was any fix to this or is it a sign of a dead GPU?

In the event that it is dead, what would be an actually good alternative/upgrade from a GTX 970? I was looking into amazon and found a deal on a GTX 1070Ti (used) for around $325, is it worth the upgrade or should I opt for other alternatives, My Current Setup is: CPU- i5 4590 RAM- 8GB DDR3 1600MHz GPU- GTX 970 (presumably dead)
