Hello,

(My Englisch is bad, because i'm a german pupil)

I bought a Asus Z87-A Motherboard with a I7 4770k CPU. The Case is a Sharkoon Am5 Window. My Cpu is cooled by an Be Quiet bk 009 cooler. My Question is, which Volt should configure with 4.5 Ghz? My Ram is 16gb 1333mhz and with 1.600 Volt. If I select 4.5 Ghz with 1.300 Volt the System crashes and I don't want to go over 1.330 Volt because much people said, that i need a Watercooling System. Which Volt and clock is good for my cpu or what should i test? I dont want to go under 4.2Ghz and Over 4.6Ghz

hello if you dont have a amazing cooler i would just set 4.4ghz at say 1.2-1.25v, any higher clock and you will usually need to pump the voltage in for 100-200mhz. from what i remember your haswell chip will clock worse than devils canyon refresh so most are capped at 4.5ghz range. i would also look into XMP i doubt your ram is 1.6v at 1333mhz unless you are listing the undoubled speed from the bios. on the newer devils canyon cpus i run 4.8ghz at 1.352v on a i5 4690k with z97 gaming 3 (65c max)
