Dedicated Streaming PC

Hi everyone,

 

I am planning on building a dedicated streaming PC. It won't be used to stream games, instead it will be used to stream church services. I will be using Vmix to stream, although it can be a little iffy with RYZEN. If the performance with Vmix won't be great, I'll use OBS instead. I'm hoping to stream at least at 1080p 30fps medium or even 1080p 30fps slow if possible while recording at the same time. From what I understand, GPU performance isn't very important when it comes to streaming so I'll be using a GTX 970 because I already own one. I am pretty set on using a 3700x as my CPU. Although I wanted to hear from all of you. Would you upgrade the CPU to a 3900x? Or is a 3700x powerful enough to record and stream at those settings? If it is, what do you think the CPU usage would be at those settings?

You should have no issues streaming at those settings with a 3700x

 

EDIT: I'm not smart enough to know what CPU usage would be

Watch this video. There is no reason to use Medium or Slow presets as it costs a TON in resources for no visually perceivable gains.
