I ripped a TV show to my pc, however, the BDMV separated the episodes in a rather off way.  The first 15 or so episodes were compiled into one giant video file with the last few episodes separate in their own files.  The Giant file has several chapters at the start and several others within the middle of each episode.  I'm trying to of course break this giant file up appropriately.  I've read mergemkv can do it, but I quickly found out it wasn't as easy as hitting a couple buttons.  After looking around I read you need to add a syntax line somewhere to separate at the appointed chapters and that's where it loses me.

How exactly am I supposed to separate the file at the desired chapters.  Say at chapters 5, 10, 16, etc.  Or is there a program that is as easy as clicking 1, 2, 3?

If recompressing the video doesn’t bother you, Handbrake should be able to read the chapter markers of the file and you should be able to separate them that way.
