Just spend the extra $40 for an X570 board

You don't need 4000mhz RAM

Just wait until NAVI after market cards are out in mid august, then upgrade to the RX 5700

your RX 480 should still be fine for 1080p gaming on medium-high settings.

You're spending stupid amounts of money on ram, get a 3000-3600mhz kit and use the money on a better GPU.

There is a negligible difference in RAM speeds.

In theory, faster RAM at tighter timings equals better performance.

In reality, with Zen 2, that equals 2-4 frames per second. It's not worth the cost versus spending that money on a better graphics card. 3200MHz RAM is a pretty great sweet spot, less than that sees lesser performance in some titles IIRC.

Otherwise, your picks are OK. I'd shoot for a better graphics card, and consider an X570 motherboard, if only to skip the step of formatting a flash drive to FAT32, grabbing updated BIOS files, and flashing your Tomahawk motherboard.

The RX 5700 XT is a faster GPU at the same price.
