So Thunderbolt hasn't really been implemented all that much on PCs because it is a direct bus interface and poses a security issue for PCs. This was an issue when Apple first launched Macbook Pros with Thunderbolt support. It's been several years though. Has the security issue been fixed or limited on Macs or is there still a big gaping hole in the security of a Mac? Also, if there has been a fix or limitation, why hasn't this been implemented on PCs yet? Not sure if this is the right forum section so I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

Just don't let anyone get your laptop (Or desktop) and I think you would be fine
