Summer Client: Pulling No Punches

My dad previously hired me to build him a Mac clone. Not a hackintosh, but a competing piece of hardware to replace the ol' trashcan his editor was using (previous mac pro). My config ended up as a 10 core i9 PC with a GTX 1080 and a 970 Evo, purpose built for Adobe renders. Came to about $6000, kills the competing iMac pro model in every way. Well, this time around I had a new goal:

Make it smaller.

Make it faster.

Make it half the price.

The result:

Approximately $3000, with a 15" USB monitor from Asus and a Logitech mouse with Corsair keyboard for the authentic workstation feel.

First with the fitting came some spacing issues, the Force MP600 comes with a thicc heat sink so the rear mounted SSD has no sheathing.

Still, can't really worry about it too much.

Hahaha what clearance issue? I don't need 2 CPU fans

You'll notice I forgot the front panel, and all its connectors. That was fun to redo.

The result is a killer little workstation for production on the go, whether you need to set up at home, in the office, or in your hotel room.

Any suggestions for stress tests? I'll share the metrics.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Yup, Nvidia blowers fit just right in the Sugo, Unfortunately the AMD reference design is a couple centimeters too big :( RIP Vega.
