So i built a new pc

It didnt trn on at first(i died) but then after trouble shooting power cable/p- p+ etc, it turns on fans spin mobo lights up it all good right, wrong my monitor gets no signal 

 

Is this a boot issue or has my gpu decided to die on the one day i didnt want it to or it could be ram

 

My specs is

 

ryzen 3600

nzxt h500

550w tx psu

ddr4 8gb 2400mhz

1tb hard drive 

250gb ssd

gtx 1050ti

Is your monitor plugged into the graphics card?  The video out ports on motherboard won't work with that CPU.

Its the b450 tomahawk, however an issue im having is my keyboard and mouse also wont turn on, which maybe what i need for my graphics card to do something, i have the usb 3.0 cable in and everything

A B450 board will need to be flashed with the latest BIOS in order for the latest Ryzen 3000's CPU's to work.   MSI has a Flashback feature on that board so it can be updated without a CPU.  Check manual for steps if this wasn't done yet.

There is no bad lights for the cpu on the mobo and from what i can tell from the mobo lights it posts but i cant get any signal from my monitor and its not a faulty monitor because i use with my ps4 and i have tried 2 hdmi cables which work fine

Do you have a single 8GB stick of RAM?  If so, make sure it is in DIMMA2.   If dual channel DIMMB2 and DIMMA2.  If those don't work you could try and a single stick in each slot to see if that gets you any further ahead.

@Reznik i have checked and its all fine but still no signal or usb 3.0

And everything went smooth with the Flashback? The LED lit up like in this video? 

 

 

I'm out of ideas otherwise.  Hopefully others can offer some help.

@Reznik ty for your help, i have one more question how long does it take to post or emit a signal?

For the first boot on Ryzen it might, or should power cycle a few times while it detects memory timings, at least that is my understanding of why it does this.  So if it appears to reset itself or no signal initially that is normal but that only takes a minute or so.

OH  might want to try it again then because i thoguht it was meant to happen instantly whoops, also mine wasnt power cycling is that a bad sign

Not necessarily sure if that means a bad thing.  Obviously something isn't working right.  My guess would be BIOS issue or wonder if it's not liking the stick of RAM.  I've only heard the latest ryzen CPU'S have great memeory support so I wouldn't think so but you never know.  If you know the exact model of RAM you have, you could search online to see if you can find an example of someone else successfully has it working.

@Reznik so as it turns out on amazons page it said the ram only supports intel 100,200 and 300 series according to amazon anyways where as if i go to a 16gb 3200mhz which im getting this week, it mentions support for amd

From that thread I just posted: A couple people on Reddit have the Tomahawk b450 + Ryzen 3000 and what worked for them is to first use flashback for V17, THEN do the update with V18. I'm waiting for my 3700x or else I would try it.
