Help for RGB fans connection

I have probably a stupid question but here it is :
I got the MB511 RGB case, with 3 front RGB fans
Each fans got a 3pin AND a 4pin connection
The 3 x 3pins goes to a molex for the PSU (I think ?) and the 3x4pins goes to another one this time for the motherboard
This is my question : do I have to connect both ? I mean, 3pin and 4pin ? Or just choose between one of them ?

My motherboard is a MSI B450 Pro carbon AC, I'm pretty lost with these RGB fans and which connector put where.

Yes, one is for RGB power and control, the other is for fan power and control. 4pin is the fan side of it. Connect that directly to mobo. The RGB one probably has hub of sort. Connect them to that, run power to it and connect it to mobo for software controls.

Manuals should help you too.

Unfortunately there's no manual for fans in that case .. :(

So I have to connect both 3pin and 4pin molex ?

I read your case manual. Its quite clear. 4pin go to motherboard fan headers. 3pins go to splitter which goes to connect box. Which connects to power and case button.

Or you should be able to connect them with that splitter to motherboard. Check your accessory bag for adapter. The fans support MSI MysticLight according to website.

Oh, and none of the connectors are molex.

Ok, thank you, I'll look at it

I'm quite uncertain about what is a molex actually (non-native English speaker, struggling with technical terms I suppose ?)

Molex is older power connector which has been phased out in recent few years. Its been replaced by SATA power connector.
