Hi all. I need some help with my new computer. I just bought the Vast Massdrop 35" monitor (1440p, 100hz, 35"). And I'm realizing my current computer can't handle it :).

So I'm making a new computer, but I've kinda been out of the loop with new hardware.

From my research, I'm in need of some help deciding for the following parts:
CPU: AMD 3600 or 3700X (leaning towards the 3600 just because the performance isn't that much better and it's like $150-200 more expensive) but I do like the core count on the 3700X.

GPU: 2060 - 2070 (is the super even worth it?) and also I haven't looked at any AMD cards so if there are some really good ones, please do recommend.

If I get the 3600, I'll probably splurge more on the GPU. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you in advanced!

That budget certainly allows for a 3700X.

The Super were introduced to make Nvidia gpu more competitive with the new AMD gpu. Pricing is roughly the same as the models they replace and there is a small bump in performance.

Hey Brob looks pretty good man. I took some inspiration from your build and tried my own out on pcpartpicker. How does it look?

Looks pretty good. You might consider a different case. The H500 series does not have great airflow. If you want to stick with that series, get the H500 rather than the H500i. Take a look at https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QjWfrH/corsair-carbide-series-275r-white-wtempered-glass-atx-mid-tower-case-cc-9011133-ww.

Both the Nzxt and Corsair cases have psu shrouds so it really isn't necessary to get a white psu. But if you want white cables you may want to consider an RMx White.

Dang a 2080 within 1500 damn.

One question. So the monitor I have supports freesync but not gsync. Is it worth getting an AMD card just to have freesync or just go with a beefed out nvidia card? Thanks! I'm leaning towards nvidia just because of how much support there is for it and how much more quiet it is.
