Does not having a second parenthesis around something bother anyone else as much as it does me? (Like if this statement was missing a second side)

Yeah, they are overpriced, but they are the best all in one solution I could find, especially considering they are open back.

they're the best gaming headset. until the ADG1 and AG1 arrive, but those aren't very good for music. If you can find Sennheiser HD558 and some mic, llike the Zalman clip-on mic for less, that'll be a better buy.

Reviews: JBL J33i   M50s   SRH440   Soundmagic PL50

Good buy? Sure. Overpriced, very much so.

I really don't think they are that overpriced. 558's are about $130 so it's around $35 extra for the mic. It's not too bad considering the other options and a modmic would cost more than that.

But what if I told you that the HD558's where also over priced?

And used the same driver, and sounded mostly like the $80 HD518?

(Scientific proof)

The difference in low end is because the HD518 is more closed off then its "big brother" but through that has a better pass response.

Hm. That I did not know. Perhaps I should have considered those instead of the Pioneer. I would have been willing to spend like $30 more for more bass. Although the Pioneers are still very good.

And I shouldn't have got SRH1540's when I knew that I wouldn't like them more then the 7506. But I did anyway, and it doesn't make them any less of a headphone.
