Cooling improvment

RedEdain

Hi!

On my motherboard (Intel DQ35JO) I only have two fan hubs (3-pin) and I have 4 fans in the case, and I was wondering if a fan splitter is a good idea. Two of those fans are the ones who were already in the case when I bought it (Corsair Carbide Series 275R) and i'm unable to find the model (Those are Corsair fans, if you have a clue, let me know) and the other two ones are Corsair AF120 Red Led. I have a 450W 80 PLUS Bronze EVGA PSU. I tried some of those Fancasee 1-to-2 Fan Splitter (https://www.amazon.ca/Câble-ventilateur/dp/B07DF8JDVS/ref=pd_sbs_147_2/131-7917825-1357119?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07DFFB14R&pd_rd_r=fbfe9d7d-9920-4b6e-95fc-774266562594&pd_rd_w=2qB8H&pd_rd_wg=PkagM&pf_rd_p=5dcda75b-8643-4da3-9bb1-5c0233790500&pf_rd_r=8KXAGM3RP30ED53ZVKQN&refRID=8KXAGM3RP30ED53ZVKQN&th=1)  but unfortunately one of them arrived with one pin missing, so I needed to return them for a refund.

Do you have some recommendations, or do you think I shouldn't use a fan splitter?

Thanks!

What do you mean by "one pin missing"? The splitters have one pin missing by default. Or multiple pins, if its for 3+ fans. You only need rpm sensor pin for one fan as mobo can only read speed from one fan per header.

As mentioned, the 3rd pin for rpm is only used from one fan on each splitter. It'll still work fine for splitting the fan signal.
