Hi,

So I got my CoolerMaster ML240L and installed. So my problem is that I plugged my fans to the cpu_fan and the pump to cpu_opt (I've changed the cpu_opt speed to full speed in bios to get the constant full speed) but for some reason my r5 2600x is 50-55C on idle. I applied enough thermal paste so that shouldn't be a problem. Anyone got any idea what am I doing wrong or what should I do? (I am running stock speeds, no oc at all)

Best regards, Blerkk.

step 1, check to see if you have a reading from the pump header as to what speed it's running, just to be on the safe side. usually though, if a pump isnt running, coolant temps will reach TJmax pretty quickly. if you don't know which software entity refers to that header, an easy way to tell is to open up something like HWmonitor, look at the fans section, then unplug the pump header, wait 1-2sec and plug it straight back in again. There should then be a fan header in software with a high "current" value and a "min" value of 0

Okay so appreantly I can not really unplug the pump while it is running since It is almost unaccesable lol (picture)
I remounted and applied some more thermal compound to places where it wasn't enough (I mean it probably was enough, but I prefer to more other than less)

Where should I check in bios that my pump is not going crazy with voltages?
Also I forgot to mention that now that I remounted the cooler, I am getting 45C on iddle but it randomly jumps to 50-55C WHILE DOING NOTHING, so a 10 degree C jump isn't normal I think.
