Hello people, I need a little help with my gpu fan. Specifically, where to get a new one. I have a gtx 1060 6gb Msi Mini graphics card, and its fan has recently stopped working. I've been searching the internet for a new fan, and apparently, they are more scarce than a 7nm Intel chip. I can't seem to find the specific fan that would fit my graphics card, and I don't know if there are any other branded ones that will. I need help with either finding a new one, or figuring out if I can fix the old one. It doesn't seem like it has any physical issues, it simply won't spin. I'm kind of a novice when it comes to computer repair, so any help would be welcome!

Yes indeedly I do! The only reason I noticed/looked into it is because my temps were getting in the high 80s on overwatch, a non gpu bound game. If I keep vsync enabled, it stays below 60, but I really don't like playing fps with vsync enabled because it adds lag

download this program https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

then click the highlighted option and click the button. Then click the senor tab and watch the if the fan RPM starts going up. (usually around 55/60 C)

Update to the problem: I'm using GPU z and while gaming the fans don't spin. I'm getting to 80+ degrees. The software seems to recognize the gpu and it says the it's running at 0 rpm at full load. Do I need to get a replacement fan, or could it be some sort of software issue? PS. I've also cleared out the heatsink and PC of any dust that could be stopping/impairing it.

@Kylixion

Which SPECIFIC MSI GTX 1060 6GB model do you have?

MSi offers...four different single-fan GTX 1060 6GBs, and they use different cooling fans.

As to where to get a hold of a replacement fan, your best bet is on eBay.
