3 sources 4K60 FPS recording PC / Timecoding ? (simultaneously)

Hello everyone !

Let me explain a bit : we are doing a documentary film into videogames. We got money for doing it so we want to record our screens in the most professionnal way. My idea was to build a super-beefy computer for recording three sources simultaneously. This computer would be connected to a NAS for duplicating and saving the files.
So i imagined this build :

Please mind that i'm not a professionnal and i probably do some mistakes about choices of this build. Especially about CPU and MB. And the GPU, maybe i have to found something with a lot more VRAM ? That's why i'm posting :)
Do you think that build would theoretically do the trick ? I'm still waiting an answer from elgato for the requirements...
This machine would be using OBS with FFMPEG custom output. We also have to find a solution to timecode our footage, for using it in Premiere pro. If you guys have ideas on this...

Thanks

Guilhem.

Will the machine you posted do anything other than record, like e.g. are you planning to also game on it or something? Will you be gaming and recording on it at the same time?

Why the mismatched ram? (2666/3000)

Also, the HD60 has... issues sometimes. It depends on the HW revision. I have a new one that the HDMI out doesn't work. El gato has refused warranty and if you wanted to record the audio out of it you can't us the HDMI audio anymore.

The good news is that if you get good versions of the HD60 pro, you can do multi device with their software as long as you have version 3.7 or higher.

Might as well go with 3900x + X570 mobo. I’d say in your case the more threads the better.

No, she will only recording video sources and audio. We are playing on other computers.

Mismatched ram was a mistake (oops). I was thinking about external soundcards for audio inputs.
I was looking for this card also ... but i didn't find so much testing and reviewing about it :

Did you consider using Nvidia ShadowPlay on the gaming stations to record sessions?

Not so much. OBS allows FFMPEG, so custom outputs with multiple different audio tracks, multiple output for editing with the same source (480p) and custom color space. I've heard that shadowplay was doing a great job regarding CPU usage and GPU, but i think it's not enough customisable for us.

For video and NAS editing, you may want to use hard drives manufactured to support such heavy workloads, such as SkyHawk Surveillance and IronWolf NAS Hard Drives:

IronWolf Drives for NAS Applications - SkyHawk Drives for Surveillance Applications - BarraCuda Drives for PC & Gaming
