What's up with the weird 5400rpm laptop hard drive? You can get a 5TB for that price.

Cheaper and faster:

Hey thanks, I didn't even see that.

2700 rather than 2700x. It's not worth the extra 50$, you can overclock or just leave it at stock. It'll perform just fine.

I also put in a different hard drive. I have no idea how you managed to find a 3TB drive for 150$ lol

It was a laptop drive.
Also, what is the difference between x and non x? Is it just like with intel's K processors.

Nope, the x basically just denotes it has higher clocks out of the box.

Both the 2700 and 2700x can be overclocked

And how much would the gpu affect the performance for video editing?

Greatly, it's a strong arm in the entire process. This is a significant step up from the 1050 ti.

Okay good to know. The bi of research I did said it didn't affect it all that much. Are there any cheaper ones you would suggest though. Again he wants to spend as little as possible.

@Slottr build is $10 over budget. Your Mate want to do 4K video editing, you need some horsepower for that unless you want to wait days for stuff to render ?
