Hello there good people,

A friend of mine asked me to build him a new machine, he's doing a lot of 3D rendering and modelling + some casual gaming. His budget is pretty comfortable and i thought i'd go with the new Ryzen chips. i came up with this Build

What do you guys think ? any suggetions or changes ? i might have went overkill with the motherboard but for the PSU went with the 750 for future upgrades he plans to add another GPU in the future.

EDIT: forgot to mention these are prices from Europe (in euros) for now he want to get the parts from a local store (Scandinavia is expensive as shit) i'm trying to find him cheaper options from elsewhere.

edited the post with details about prices (EU scandinavian local store)

It looks solid for the workloads and tasks. Expensive as heck though, as you mentioned.

Go with 2 x 16GB DDR4 3000 - 3200. No need to overpay for 3600 unless it is the same price.

You don't need an expensive X570 board. An entry level X570 (i.e Gigabyte X570 Gaming X) will easily handle that cpu. Even some B450 boards would be fine such as the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon.

I would go with the 2070 Super over the 2080 if you need an Nvidia gpu.

You might be able to get a cheaper NVMe SSD such as the WD Black, Adata SX8200 Pro or Corsair MP510 etc. The Samsung ones are usually on the expensive side.

I would go with an air cooler (BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 or Noctua D15 etc) for a workstation build.

Can the software he uses make use of two gpu's ? If not then even 650W is more than enough.

Maybe look into a scratch disk as well.

Thanks !

I'm still thinking about the mother board i will check those your mentioned. when it comes to the 2070 Super checked some benchmarks and it seems to be still inferior to the 2080 i'll take another look tho.

I like the scratch disk idea too sounds pretty cool for him are those WD any good ? went with the samsung as those are the ones i've always used and "trust".

was going with an air cooler but he mentioned he wants an AIO that will probably change to something cheaper too depending on the case he ends up picking
