Compatibility of Corsair Hydro GFX GTX 1080 Ti shroud on a ASUS Founders edition GTX 1080 Ti pcb?

The Corsair Hydro GFX GTX 1080 Ti's PCB is reference according to EK's Cooling Configurator, so a Founders Edition GTX 1080 Ti from ASUS should have zero compatibility issues since it's also a reference PCB. I have not done the swap personally, though based upon both cards being reference I'd say it's more than likely going to work.

As stated in the title, I plan to buy a Corsair Hydro GFX GTX 1080 Ti shroud for my ASUS Founders edition GTX 1080 Ti but I just read that AIB partners make cards with slightly different pcb's sometimes and now I'm worried that I might run into compatibility issues.

Do I have anything to be worried about or is the Corsair Hydro GFX GTX 1080 Ti pcb the same as the Founders edition pcb design?

If you have done this specific swap, I'd really appreciate your input.

If you know about the compatibility and can link a source to show me, that would really help too.

Perfect thanks a lot, great idea looking through EK's compatibility list that's exactly the kind of out of the box thinking I was hoping for.
Much appreciated :)
