I have been getting a poor performance on AC odyssey with a very good pc and i would appreciate if anyone could give me some insight
Config
CPU i9 9900K with noctua d15s cooler
GPU gtx 1080 ti
RAM 8gb corsair 2400Mhz
mobo z370-p
600w
Usually im getting around 40-50 fps playing on ultra high settings 1080p
I already used msi afterburner to check heat and cpu/gpu/memory usage and disk usage
CPU stays around 60%
GPU 60-80%
memory 80%

I have tried everything i know to troubleshoot this but i had no success
GPU runs just fine on furmark (around 160 fps on 1080p)

I need help to fix this, can't find a solution

I know the game is poorly optimized but people with the same hardware, or even worse, get way more fps
all benchmarks with 1080ti i7 or i9 i watched had over 80 fps, and i struggle to get 50
i also get lots of huge fps drops
if you look at the curves, i get like 9 fps min on the benchmark of ac odyssey

The only flaw I see in your system is the 8gb of RAM,

Your OS is using 2gbs of RAM (64 bit) or 1 gb of RAM (32 bit)

So if the game requires 8 gb then it is overflowing to your storage.

Out of all the ones you watched, Did any of them have 8gb of ram?

Memory stays around 80% while i'm playing the game (task manager) so i dont think it is the reason, but it could be

That is really interesting. So with that said I watched a few and they were pushing up towards 8.5 Gbs.

Were you looking at your overall mem usage or just for that application.

I would run a mem test.
