Fire alarm

Hey y'all I know that this is a tech forum but I have a query  so I want to make a fire alarm with butter for school project  so how can proceed ??

srsly, butter? above all else?

Meaning that the prongs will be separated by butter

so I assume it needs enough heat to melt the butter before the alarm triggers? That's quite a bad idea. Butter melts easily yes, but by the time it melts it has already missed the first sign of a fire, heavy smoke. Also if the applied place gets real hot outside, then this fire alarm will trigger when the air conditioning fails in a hot day too. Sure spraying down water will solve the heat issue, but I think there are bigger problems than heat at that point.

Make your contacts spring loaded and place some butter between the contacts. However, as stated above, this would be a very strange fire alarm. I would suggest using a co/co2 detector or infrared sensor...
