So I have a budget of $1050 and not a cent more. I can't part from the Phantom 410. And my reasoning for the WD Blue is because of the recent thing about the Seagate Barrucuda degrading after a while. And keep in mind I will be ordering everything from NewEgg, I have my reasons.

Second the better memory part, Mushkin Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory. The PNY part needs 1.65v to do DDR3-1600 which doesn't bode well for overclocking potential.

Kingston SV300S37A/120G fits into your budget, especially with the slightly less expensive memory.

Not arguing your choice of Caviar Blue but I would point out that you will not be using the drive in a 24x7 high traffic RAID array. The recent story is interesting but says absolutely nothing about drive reliability in desktop environments.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I actually already have a samsung evo 120gb that i will be using.

Would get this instead. Lower voltage and cheaper.
