Koolance 380I

Hey guys I just set up my WCD loop, and I'm on a temporary CPU only loop ( I will be upgrading gpu soon) and I've got about 700mm total of rad. I used the stock koolance thermal compound included, and I'm at about 24-30 deg idle and about 45-50 under load. Is this even good, for being on a 4770k? Should I use better thermal compound? I haven't overclocked

Best regards, Alexander

Thermal compound will make the slightest of a difference, and those temps are amazingly good.

Are they, for a non overclocked 4770k?

not really. My friend @The Great Sayain Man has his 4770k @5 ghz with temps in the low 60's. (i have seen it in rl)

wooow, what's his setup? Never heard of that high of an overclock, especially with those low temps

His wc? i don't know the parts. He spend 2000€ (even more then i did) on it so it's probably the highest end stuff possible.

Wow, cool. But how much does the temps change from 3.7ghz at full prime95 load to overclocked 4.5ghz?

those temps are fine, mine are about the same when at stock clocks

ambient and water temps affect this also, you can't say his temps are bad when you don't know how the rest of the conditions stack up
