Hello all,

I've recently found an old Intel i740u3 gpu in the shed and wanted to get it working but when I test it on my Gigabyte GA-8S650GMX Intel Celeron 2.4GHz system I get a lot of vertical lines going through the display. I'm assuming that it's a problem with the card itself rather than something driver related because I've also tested a Diamond Stealth 3 Savage4 GT and it works fine. I'd be grateful if someone could tell me if and/or how I can fix it. Included photos of the display and card itself.

Since it has been in a shed and thus exposed to moisture and temp differences (I assume) it may need some time before it works if you are lucky. Just let it sit and acclimate to being back inside for a week or so. This would be the best case scenario.

Check for any corrosion damage on the board as moisture can cause this. If it has see if you can clean it.

Check if any caps or resistors are bursting or have a bad contact (from the picture it seems fine).

If none of this has any results it is simply dying.
