2011 macbook problem

i've got a mid 2011 macbook air handed down to me and uptaded it to MacOs sierra. is it going to struggle using imovie or are there any other alternatives the i can use just for some casual video editing?

Well if you already updated it... try for yourself if it ‘struggles’ or not

Yes, that machine is rather old so it will struggle with editing video. However if you stick with iMovie you should be fine as iMovie lacks many pro features but uses Quicksync.
