Go to solution Solved by Gavin1593,

Took it to a shop. Said it was incompatibility between the cpu and motherboard.... Due to outdated BIOS is my guess.

Motherboard: dp67de

Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance lp

CPU: I5 3450

GPU: Zotac 1050 mini

PSU: 500W

I'm currently trying to upgrade a friends PC. It has a Acer IPIS-VR Rev 1.0.1, 16gb ddr3 corsair lp 1333mhz ram, and an i5 3450. It is a Gateway DX4860. (bought used) The computer worked just fine before we started to upgrade it. We tried installing a 1050 2gb along with a 500w psu. It had trouble posting right away but we had old drivers installed. So we gave it a new install of windows and now the system wont post even with the old Gpu and psu in it. The system powers on. At first it gave us a beep every 30 seconds or so and the screen would pretty much only update when it beeped with the 1050 in it (before new windows). It took forever for the system to finally boot into windows when it had the old install and would only work on 1280x768p, If i tried to change it, it would just beep and freeze up again. So Now were stuck with a system that doesn't even post. Any help would be appreciated.

I have also tried throwing in my own 1050ti into the system with no difference. I have also cleared the CMOS many times. I have tried most common repairs for this so i myself assume its a dead board because it no longer beeps. But im not to experienced so i wouldn't mind some confirmation ?

We have picked up a new motherboard and the motherboard seems to work fine... But I'm pretty sure the old MB took the RAM with it as the new MB gives me 3 beeps and pauses then continues until turned off. With no post. I will be able to figure out if it's the RAM tomorrow.

Sounds like your fan controllers burnt.

Technically board failure
But if you wanna rig it, just get a 3/4 pin molex adapter and slap it on.

- It is not a CPU error
- it is NOT a ram error
- it is not anything else...

But the fans worked fine with the previous board. And the friend I bought the new board from said it was working fine. And the new board is a dp67de btw.
