Server 2012 to Server 2019

So I got given a server 2019 key for my home server and theres a step guide on Microsoft website on how to do it but doesn't tell you where to get the exe. Anyone know?

You install the iso, not the exe

 

You probably want to run vms with a hypervisor here, use hyper-v if you wanna go all microsoft.

I've got the eval iso but its too large to put on a fat32 usb

you want to use rufus to put it on a usb, you can't just copy a iso to a usb and boot from it.

How do I use rufus? I've downloaded it but their website dont really tell you much

pick the usb, pick the iso file, hit start

Just choose the ISO image, pick your drive and start (maybe not in that order). It will format your drive though, so you'll want to use a blank drive or one with nothing you care about.
