Okay , in a couple months or so I'm building a PC. It's gonna have a ryzen 5 3600x or non x haven't decided. 16gb ram, I have a 1080p 144hz monitor (for csgo really) so I'm only doing 1080p gaming but I also want high refresh rate gaming doesn't have to be 140fps just like above a little bit over 100 yanno that sweetspot , I am not sure if I should wait even longer and get a little more money for a gpu but the max I have is about 700$. Am looking at 1660tis would that do the job ,are there better options , and I'm pretty sure the price will fluctuate I'm just curious

1080p, 144hz, CSGO?

This is simple, RX580 is a good sweet spot here. Maybe the 590 of you want to stretch. It’s a solid card for 1080p

Nono, I was saying the reason I got a 144hz monitor was for csgo, I'd like to utilize it for more games , but if some games just take too much power 70-80 fps is totally fine for really intensive games.

If it’s got free sync or gsync then it doesn’t matter (as long as your in the sync range), FPS can drop under 60 and it will be butter smooth.

What is the point of Gsync if you just spend extra money to make the lowest FPS go over 60??

i5 8600 - RX 6600 - Fractal Nano S - 1080p 144Hz

Maybe it's because my CPU is stuttering from high usage but when borderlands hits like 60fps even with freesync it feels like garbage. On top of that I have a freesync monitor but may buy an Nvidia card which is a bummer
