They are good, but they are not an upgrade from a 660

if you have another pci-e slot you could get another 660 in sli

there's plenty of those at or under 200$

I ask because it is for a mini itx gaming/editing/rendering build im gonna do soon. I would have gone with amd 8350. But no itx gaming boards for 8350 from what I researched. There may be some and I just overlooked something or didn't look hard enough. Idk... What do you guys think of this so far?

Yeah but it's not worth it to pay $200 for a 270x that might perform better, but by like 10-20%

Keep your 660 for now, save your money for a higher end graphics card

yeah correct, but if he was thinking to go with hd 7770 then it would definitely be better to go with r9 270x xD but, I think too he should stay with gtx 660, the r9 is only worth if he need to play games like bf4 because of mantle, then the gain of performance would be considerable. But, I hope, no-one is so mad to spend 200$ to "upgrade" a gtx 660 with r9 270x only to play battlefield lol

This is an ITX build. He can't use 2 graphics cards

What i meant was the 660 card is a very capable card to use , when i moved from the 460 i straight away notice a double increase or very noticeable increase performance with 1 card then i bought the 2nd ,tho if he chooses later on to upgrade the MB he could run 2 . This is up to him in what card he wants to get. just hope it all works well for him ...
