Need a new psu

Hey, my old psu (Evga 500B) has failed and honestly Im not suprised. Im upgrading my rig and im buying a rx 580 off a friend for $70 and i need a new psu. What would be a good psu for a rx 580 and I5 8400 build. I do not care about modularity and the less the better(although i do not want to go with a low quality one as i did before) The corsair CX450 looks nice but id like your guys opinion.

Im not familiar with that one. Is it just the Cx650m but better? I also haven't seen 80+ silver psus. Are they just better 80+ bronze or are they another way of saying 80+ white variants(which i know are pretty bad)

I think, @jonnyGURU help develope the unit. Corsair was trying to revive the non-existent silver market. For some reason the units were met with a big yawn

EU sales team screamed "WE NEED SILVER!", then it launched and they said, "WE CAN'T SELL THIS!" so now they're on blow out.

 

It an HEC platform.  LLC with DC to DC.  Rifle bearing fan, all Jap caps, and a +12V rail switch to toggle between single and multiple +12V rail.

Because they're selling plenty of CX-M and plenty of TX-M.

Wot? Your average PSU calculator should have suggested 800 watts for a rig like that. 400-500 does the job just fine.

Yeah he doesn't need 650 watts,  but that corsair vengeance is just the deal right now at any wattage.

I mean I had a 750w EVGA PSU for my GTX 770 i3 PC a few years ago, and it worked good!

Avoid the focus if you have a choice. Tends to be noisy, only 1 pcie connector, problems with vega/2080ti, etc.

Im going with @Sat1600 reccomendation of the cp 650m. $40 for better than cx performance is a steal
