Posted June 28, 2019 I have an 8700k and a Ryzen 5 1600. None of the new chips are compelling reasons to upgrade from what I already have. So....eh. if I had an i5 I might be interested. i5-14600KF // 120x38MM Cooler Master AIO // B760i // 64GB DDR5 6000 // PNY RTX 5070 // Cooler Master NCORE 100 Max // Cooler Master V SFX-850 Gold // UWQHD AOC Display Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1076716-ryzen-3000-incoming/#findComment-12677692 Share on other sites
 Its just a quirk thats common I REALLY doubt we will see anything actually at 5.0ghz on ryzen. Ryzen launches close to its peak the 3800x is at 4.5ghz boost meaning max I can actually imagine would be 4.9ghz. At 4.9ghz I still kind of have to dream. Posted June 28, 2019 3700x looks very promising , & 3600 should have greatest value. sadly I am still being seriously bottleneck by gpu , will still be great for another 3-5yrs (gtx970 lol) Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1076716-ryzen-3000-incoming/#findComment-12677937 Share on other sites
 Posted June 28, 2019 They're impressive, but I'm still not going to upgrade. My 4790k is still doing excellent work. It will take a lot more for me to upgrade my RAM, motherboard, and CPU. Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response! I've gone from a 960 > 1060 > 1070ti > 2080 in the last few years. I wish that I could stop myself from constantly buying new components and hold out like you. But then again I enjoy having a 2k 144hz monitor with steady frames.
