So im posting in cases and power supplies because i believe this is either an issue with the Front pannel connectors, or power supply. My pc wouldn't turn on. It would flicker lights for a mili seconds then shut off but after some excessive power button pressing it turned on. Should i be concerned? It is, currently not doing this but im unsure what the reason for it was

I'd start with the cheapest, easiest possible solution before jumping up and buying a new power supply or case. Open up the case and ensure the front panel wires are properly connected to the motherboard headers and look for any frayed wires that may be causing a short. You can maybe try turning the PC on by bridging the power on header on the motherboard if it doesn't already have its own 'power button'. I would highly recommend looking at the MB manual before attempting this though. If you're still having issues, I would suspect the power supply may be going bad.

I would highly recommend looking at the MB manual before attempting this though.

I am no longer having the problem. Its, been working fine. But its just odd how it was occurring then stopped.

Interesting...How does the power plug look? Is the power receptacle itself in good shape? How old is the power supply?

Power supply is less than a year old. However it is not q very good unit(despite me thinking it would be fine due to this machine being a non gaming rig its a evga 500B) i have no clue what you mean by "power recepticle" but other than that everything looks fine

The power outlet in your house...I always be sure to check all the simple things first (even if it seems stupid).

Ok I see, ill check that out. My 24 pin connector didnt seem to be flush, but it seems that it wasnt the problem. Whenever I turn the PSU on and off it does the weird flickery thing and takes a bunch of tries to turn on

It very well could be the power supply, which worries me because I have the same exact one =(

Like I said though, check the 'obvious' things first before spending money ?
