Hi Guys, I have been offered an Asus Commando, intel core 2 quad, 8gb ddr2 and 2 gtx 560's for £200 ($330)

My intention is to build a PC for my brother as he doesn't have the money to build something new. First of all is this a good deal, and secondly will he get a smooth gaming experience from this?

If not can you recommend a different route to take?

I'd say it's pretty decent in performance. It's somewhat mid to low end system for now.

If you compare it to new-price this is a pretty nice deal. I'd say the 2 gtx 560's are worth like 250 together and then you get the rest for free basically.

It's up to you if you think it's necessary.

In my opinion it's a pretty good deal.

The two 560's are about $70-80 each.

Assuming your monitor is 1080P, you probably won't be able to play some games on max.

If you're using a lower resolution than maybe.

Thanks, he's not a hardcore gamer by any means but it's a step up from his dual core laptop.

That will play most games at a good mix of medium/high/max depending on the game. It is an excellent deal.
