I am planning on building my first PC. I am looking for good mother board recommendations as well as graphics card/processor combinations. This build will be used for upcoming AAA games like Cyperpunk 2077, The Outer Worlds, etc. I am running on a budget of no more than $1000 including monitor and keyboards. Also all recommendations are welcome. I already have an M.2 SSD that I plan on putting in as well.

1. Budget and Location: $1000 and Moscow, ID

2. AIM: AAA title gaming

3. Monitors: 1 monitor at 1080p. I likely will not upgrade beyond this

4. Peripherals: a keyboard and monitor

5. Reason for upgrade: moving away from consoles to PC

I like VEXICUS's build, but I would downgrade the CPU to upgrade the GPU and monitor. I prefer a quiet, cool running GPU. Chose lower capacity storage for higher quality. If you need to get it below $1000 we can get a less expensive keyboard, case, or PSU. It's up to you.

There may be some more pressure on prices once Ryzen 3000 arrives.

I asked about that video card before when it was at a fairly low price point like you list there and absolutely EVERYONE told me to avoid that card like the plague.  It has some components on the back of the card that overheat and its generally not considered a good card.  Look through the forums on this site with that card in your search and see if you can get a positive review.

OP… if you have your heart set on an 8 core part..... the B 450 Tomahawk has the best VRM of any of the B450 boards don't put an 8 core on anything less than that VRM.

Otherwise you have a reasonable build, but if you can stretch the budget a hair and see if you can find a decent buy on the 2060 it would perform better than the card you suggested.  I just bought a 2060 for 319 usd so you may well find similar price breaks where you are if you shop it around a little.  the EVGA models here are the ones that have gone on sale but I know I just got the Gaming XC ultra 2 fan for 319... Just keep your eye on NVIDIA's web site and wait for one of those to cycle back on sale.

Yes, the RTX 2060 is only slightly better than the Vega 56, but I would rather have the cooler running 160W RTX 2060 than the 210W Vega 56. It's a personal preference.

It might be slightly faster, but its not worth spending around  $80-90 for that 2060.

It probably is. That Gigabyte 56 gets terrible reviews. I think the more expensive Sapphire Nitro+ version Vega 56 is the one to get if you are going with that card. I may be mistaken though.

I agree, the gigabyte version run a bit hotter.....

It might not be the best cooled Vega 56, but it's still a Vega 56.
