Question about cloning an HDD from a certain partition

Hello. I will try to make this question as uncomplicated as possible, but I have a 2.5" 500GB Seagate SSHD that I would like to clone off of a 2.5" 1TB Hitachi drive. I already know that you can't clone a drive of smaller capacity from a bigger one, but I wanted to clone a certain partition on the 1TB drive. Would this be possible? (Partition I would like to clone is (New Volume D:)

 

Here's a picture of my screen. (At the time, my 500GB drive was not connected, so it does not register. Ignore Disk 1

Also I don't have the largest budget for cloning software, so a free one would be nice. Thanks!!!!

Some tools would allow you to do this partition cloning, I like EaseUS for most of these cases:
