iPhone 8+ black screen

Im on vacation at Disney with the kids so I don't have a PC with me. iPhone is on the wall charger about 35%, I unlock the phone and I see my web page then the screen just goes black. Phone will not turn on, tried the volume up then down then hold power button and no image at all.

I left the phone on the charge for a hour and tried again still no image at all. Have any of you had this happen? I got the phone new in August of last year, it's always been in a case and I've never dropped it. The phone is in mint condition.

Couldn’t get to the apple store til today. Walked in told them what happened, he tried to restore it in iTunes and it crashed. He said the phone was bad and grabbed me a new phone to swap it out with. Whole process took maybe 10 minutes.

Figured id post a update about this in case anyone has the same issue
