Laptop's Intel HD 500 HDMI output switched on my TV.

MrWerew

Hi,

I have a Trekstor Primebook 13 as a "cheap-to-lose" laptop which I carry everywhere when I'm on the road for work, but when I'm at home it is plugged in to my bedroom TV (1080p Samsung) with a HDMI cable and microHDMI adapter on the laptop end.
Today something magical has happened. My TV turned on as I plugged in the cable/adapter to the laptop. This has never happened before, and I couldn't replicate it since.
I saw that there is a notification in the Action Center and I had hit Win+A to bring it up as I was plugging the cable in. As I reached for the TV remote I heard the TV turn on.
I thought that the built in Intel HD 500 Graphics has CEC support and I hit the right hotkey to turn on the TV, but I can't replicate what happened, and I also can't find settings or proof for such feature.

I would like to figure out why my TV turned on this one time.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for replies.
