Second M.2 Drive read issues

liberty167

I can't get the second NVME drive to show up in windows or in BIOS on a AORUS X470 gaming 5 motherboard. I currently boot up from an NVME, but the second slot won't show up. Any tips?

In case you didn't know...,

The M2B socket on the gaming 5 supports NVME only.  Make sure your not trying to use a M2 SATA drive in there.

The M2A socket supports both SATA III and NVME.

Easiest way to tell is SATA ones have 2 notches where they plug in, NVME have only one.

NVME

SATA

The sockets will accept either type.

I see. I’ll double check. What if I switch them and change the boot drive? I think one is definitely the nvme

Yes this is definitely what I did. Think switching the clots would work?
