Just curious, why did you go with Vega?

Ryzen 7 1700X - Cryorig C7 - Gigabyte Gaming B450 Wifi - 16GB GSKILL Aegis DDR4-3000mghz - WD Black NVMe 250GB M.2 / WD Black 2.5 1TB HD - Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 8GB - FD Node 202

I used to have the H500i, good looking case but it's an oven when it comes to temps. If low noise and good temps are something you want that's the wrong case for it.

Hey, I'm really liking the look of the H series cases from NZXT but I have been reading the thermals are just OK.

Been looking into fractal meshify or define cases with tempered glass but I really miss NZXT's cable cover, makes it look so clean.

What are the temp differences you are getting between the h500i and that meshify?

In the H500i when gaming or stress testing, my CPU was 76c with 100% load(which isn't too bad but still a little high), GPU was the worst part got to 82-84c with the fans in jet engine mode trying to keep it cool, it never went above that but it was still absolutely horrendous. Idle with the CPU was about 38-41c and the GPU idle was 64c I set custom fan curves and everything that made it a bit better but the noise was just bleh, it was fine while idle and just basic web browsing, temps were great and noise was non-existent, but once I was gaming or doing any 3D rendering for longer periods of time it was game over. It's a nice case and if you use air cooling it will probably be fine, the more fans the better, but the only intake are two slits with thick dust filters on them in the front plus if you add a 240mm rad in front of the fans it makes the airflow even worse.

After switching to the Meshify C my temps dropped substantially, idle my CPU is at 29-31c however I did also switch to thermogrizzly kryonaut thermal paste when I switched cases, and my GPU temps at idle are now 51c, under load it's the same story max at 100% load my CPU hits 68c and my GPU maxes out at 65c at 100% load with MSI Kombuster. The CPU isn't a super big decrease but that wasn't really my problem, my problem is with the limited airflow in the H500i my GPU was just sitting in hot air and in order to keep cool the fan speed had to be at pretty much the max to keep it under 85c.

Actually i disagree im getting 56 c on my gpu at 100 load and my cpu at 1.38 volts is at 68c

Go ahead disagree, if you can't tell I have much more performance heavy components, that also run a bit hotter. Also our uses are more than likely completely different, I'm just saying the case has crappy thermals and terrible airflow. It's my opinion but also a lot of others too. You may not have a problem with temps or noise but some people do, and every system runs different. I'm not trying to trash on the case but it could be improved, it's a good looking super high quality case that's fantastic to build in... but unfortunately it has shitty airflow and for my system and what I do with my computer that wasn't going to fly.

Ok i see your parts now and i do agree that the gpu will run hot in that case but do u have an air cooler for the cpu because i use water which could be why.

Using a ryzen 7 2700 aircooled at 4.1 ghz 1.4 volts im getting a max of 70 in cinebench and gaming around 50 wheras my vega 56 is staying below 56degrees no matter what i play. Kinda a funny coincidence. Also i like it a lot it looks soooo good and its cool for me. However i can understand how someone might have issues with 2080 and 2080ti

I have an h100i Pro liquid cooler, the CPU wasn't my issue it was still warm but it maxed out at 75c on prime95 stress testing which is much more demanding than Cinebench and that's perfectly fine. But like I said my CPU wasn't the issue it was mainly my GPU and the airflow just wasn't enough, and I wasn't about to downgrade my liquid cooler so I could move the radiator up top.
