Missing component

Hey all,
I was opening my old laptop using a tutorial video on youtube, and while I was following I saw that on the video there was a component inside that laptop that wasn't in mine, altough I have the same ribbon cable connector. Can anyone tell me what this component is?
I used this laptop without issues for a couple of years, wasn't expecting to see this...

that's used to connect a 9.5mm optical drive. If your model dont have it, the laptop manufacturer could remove the cable and secondary PCB as well to save cost.

Optical drive bay, nothing to worry about.
