bottleneck Which card to choose

Which card will give me less bottleneck when paired with i5 3450@3.1ghz 

Rx 570 or rx 580?

First off, this should be posted in the GPU thread. And second of all, my guess would be an RX 570. Older weaker cpu would bottleneck the weaker GPU less than the stronger one, is my reasoning. @Crunchy Dragon move the thread btw.

Get the 580.

 

I run paired a 1070 with a i5-4460, and haven't had issues with bottlenecking. That's a GPU that's a good bit more powerful and a CPU that is ever so slightly faster.

Your combination is good so u dont get bottlenecked as much but the videos i see on youtube pairing i5 3450 and rx 580 show a heavy bottleneck and some show no bottleneck even on the same game im confused af.Cant find a good rx 570 with i5 3450 though

The 4460 is not much faster than the 3450. Practical difference is somewhere between 1 and 10%, depending on task (but being on the low end).

 

That difference is not big enough to compensate for the ~40% increase the 1070 has over the 580.

It's probably due to systems being bogged down by unnecessary software. My 4460 system has only Steam (and subsequent games), Dolphin, and Firefox installed.

That CPU is capable of powering the RX580 in modern games, thereby I would grab the 580.
