Budget Streaming PC

My current set up is

  • GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
  • Driver Version 398.82
  • AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055 T Processor
  • 16 GB RAM (DDR 3)
  • 1920 X 1080, 59Hz

I am looking to get a new motherboard and CPU to enable me to stream comfortably. Any suggestions? I have been looking at some motherboards and cpu's but most cpu's are too expensive for my budget. Any recommendations please do reply.

Thank you in advance!

for streaming while gaming, you want high core count. as you are on a budget, get ryzen. wait a few weeks for ryzen 3 to come. intel high core is too expensive.

for new systems, you will also need ddr4 ram. you will need to buy >16gb 3000mhz ram.

ddr3 is incompatible with newer systems.

An idea could be waiting for zen3 to come out then maybe get a Ryzen 7 1800x instead of a Ryzen 7 1700 right now. Would you think that is a more viable option for long term?

Yeah, higher core count is helpful for gaming/streaming at the same time

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600  Heatsink: ID-Cooling Frostflow X GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 Mini 6GB RAM: KLEVV Bolt 3600Mhz (2x8GB) Mobo: ASUS B550-F ROG Strix (Wifi)  Case: Fractal Design Meshify C PSU: Deepcool DQ-M-V2L

Yeah, the X370 Motherboard will do me fine so if I get that soon, then wait for zen 3 to come out might be my best option. I won't be spending as much in 1 go so the bank won't be broken as bad.

You will also need new memory (DDR4).

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Actually the X470 motherboard would be a better choice as newer chipsets have better support for higher speed RAM. Either that or the B450 is also a good budget option.

I might wait for zen 3 to come out and see the cheapest options. So instead of getting a 75-100£ 2nd hand Ryzen get a 150-200£ zen 3 if that's an option. And Spotty, I know some people who have 16 gb of ddr 4 I could purchase cheaper potentially
